"Getting Started with Night Sky Photography" with Bob Coates

Learn about gear and APPS to make it easier to capture Astro Landscapes. Milky Way and star trails are featured along with a few ideas for capture and processing. Bob will be joining remote.

Coates is a night sky image maker and educator based in Sedona, Arizona. Bob has been presenting programs on photographic education for over 25 years.

*Meal is an extra fee and optional.

Bio:
Arica Dorff is a Traveling Pet Photographer who treks across the country every fall in her campervan for her annual Pet Photography Road Trip. After a decade as Las Vegas’ top pet photographer, she sold her brick and mortar studio and embraced the adventure of “vanlife” in her home on wheels. Arica has taken her experience owning a luxury studio storefront and applied it to running a profitable mobile business for the past eleven years. Arica holds a PPA Photographic Craftsman Degree and has taught at CreativeLive, West Coast School, Florida School of Photography, Animal Image Makers Conference and ImagingUSA.

Bring your cameras and come ready to be photographed as you will be able to be photographed by a fellow WTP friend. In addition, WTP will be providing dinner so it is a Win, Win.

Build Your Business Through Community is a relationship-driven workshop for professional photographers who want to grow sustainably by showing up for their communities. Julie Collins shares how authentic networking, local partnerships, and intentional community support generated $50,000 in additional revenue in 2025, without relying on discounts, paid advertising, or sales-based networking. Attendees will leave with practical strategies for supporting local organizations, building genuine relationships, and cultivating professional connections that naturally lead to long-term visibility, referrals, and business growth.

Julie is an award-winning portrait photographer servicing Southeastern Wisconsin since 2012. Julie earned her Master of Photography Degree in 2020 and is a Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America. She is sponsored by Miller’s Professional Imaging. Her studio specializes in wall art for the home and custom designed albums for families, newborns, pets, and seniors in high school. She also enjoys helping area businessmen and women represent themselves with excellence through professional headshots and business branding photographs. She lives in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin with her husband of 26 years and their four boys. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, boating, and downhill skiing.
