"Let It Shine" with Deanna Duncan

Landscape Photography is a beautiful blend of science and artistry. Sometimes there can be frustration when what you see in your lens is not what you see on the back of your camera. That's when you start with the science and develop your artistry. From concept to capture to creation, this class is a deep dive into the craft of landscape photography. The foundation comes with composition. Learn the spoken and unspoken rules of scale, color and design. Layer this with the the tools of the landscape photographer and gain understanding of how each one can affect the outcome. Sometimes our own bad habits are sabotaging our success. When you dive into the foundational elements, it can uncover these and ease countless frustrations. If love nature or want to take your landscapes to the next level, this class is for you.

Deanna Duncan, known as Dee to her friends, has a passion for empowering people to see beauty—in themselves and others.  She left a career in education and non-profit management to help her husband, Cris Duncan, open and operate C j Duncan Photography in Lubbock, Texas.  Deanna is an Internationally award winning photographer who has been published in multiple magazines and had the honor of representing the United State in the World Photographic Cup.  She is a two time recipient of the Best of Show for Texas Professional Photographers Association, holds the highest level of membership within the Professional Photographers of America—Elite Plus and is a Master Photographic Craftsman and Certified Professional Photographer.  She serves as a board member for Texas School Charities and Lubbock Impact.  However, what really brings her joy is people and a great hike.  There is nothing she loves more than sitting down with you, hearing your story and then figuring out how to help you reach your goals.
